About

The reporting question comes before the format.

Portrait of Elena Ward at a calm editorial reporting desk.

My reporting starts with a practical question: who maintains this system, who depends on it, and what changes when it fails or adapts? I work across reported features, analysis, interviews, field notes, and editing.

A useful portfolio gives each clip enough context to stand on its own. I name the subject, reporting form, contribution, and central question before asking a reader to follow the link.
