02 / Service design

Shared clinic scheduling

A fictional scheduling tool for people coordinating appointments across family members and community services.

Contribution and decisions

I separated availability, travel constraints, and confirmation into a short sequence instead of asking for every detail at once. The prototype gives coordinators a review step before any appointment choice is treated as final.

03 / Collaboration

Creative review handoff

A review workspace concept that keeps unresolved feedback visible as files move between teams.

Contribution and decisions

I studied where comments lost context between review rounds and designed a frame-based status model. Reviewers can see the decision, the current owner, and what still needs resolution without opening several disconnected threads.

04 / Education

Course planning map

A university planning prototype that shows requirements before students commit to a term.

Contribution and decisions

I brought prerequisites, open choices, and remaining requirements into one planning view. The direction helps a student compare possible paths before moving into the registration step; it does not claim to replace academic advice.

Profile / working method

Design decisions need a clear reason.

Portrait of Nia Calder in a modern product-design workshop.

I work from research signals to tested interface direction, keeping the product question visible as the details develop. My role often includes framing the problem, mapping flows, prototyping, and helping a team decide what to test next.

I value case studies that name constraints and contribution plainly. A useful explanation can show strong judgment without turning every project into a success metric.
