Rights · plain-language overview
Open files, clear boundaries.
Downloadable logo kits, favicon sets, and image packs in the first Creative Library collection are released under CC0 1.0 Universal.
CC0 is a public domain dedication and legal tool. It is not a Portfolio Work Studio account, registration, or custom license.
This page is general information, not legal advice. The official Creative Commons deed and legal code are authoritative.
What CC0 lets you do
To the extent the legal tool applies, you can copy, modify, use commercially, and redistribute the downloadable asset without asking Portfolio Work Studio for permission. Attribution is not required.
Read the official CC0 1.0 deed or consult the English legal code.
What this page does not add
Portfolio Work Studio does not append “personal use only,” “no resale,” “no redistribution,” “commercial use prohibited,” or “attribution required” to the CC0 dedication. Package notices identify the resource and link to the official instrument; they do not rewrite it.
Rights outside CC0 can still matter
CC0 does not itself clear or waive every possible non-copyright right. Trademark, patent, privacy, publicity or personality, endorsement, and third-party rights can still matter for a particular asset or use.
The starter marks are reusable, non-exclusive artwork. They are not Portfolio Work Studio trademarks, are not trademark-cleared, and come with no promise of uniqueness. Modification and your own relevant trademark review are recommended before permanent brand adoption.
Usage guidance is not a license condition
Image-pack pages ask people not to present decoration as evidence of work they did not perform. That is portfolio-integrity guidance. It does not narrow CC0 or make the dedication conditional.
Misleading claims can still damage credibility and may create separate professional or legal concerns. The practical choice is to use the images as backgrounds, placeholders, concept illustrations, or presentation support and label their role when confusion is possible.
Guides and official branding are separate
Creative Library guide text remains Copyright Portfolio Work Studio. The official PWS logo, favicon, wordmark, brand system, and identity are also excluded from the open-asset dedication and do not appear in CC0 packages.
Already released means still open
A future Pro Library may introduce genuinely new premium asset families under professionally reviewed commercial terms. It cannot retroactively restrict copies already released under CC0 or describe those assets as Pro-exclusive.
